The Kamehameha Schools Hawai`i Campus (KSH) Girls Volleyball Teams hosted the Hilo High Vikings tonight (August 29th) in Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) action at Koai`a gymnasium.
In the Junior Varsity (JV) opener it was the visiting Vikings winning the best 2 out of 3 sets match in straight sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-22.
In the Varsity match (Best 3 out of 5 sets) it was KSH prevailing in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-15.
KSH was led by the hitting of Maela Homna with 26 kills.
Maile Kuamo`o fed hitters for 31 assists.
Honma and Carmen Otake each had a pair of service aces.
Libero Kealohi “Blue” Dudoit led the way defensively, with 20 digs.
